  • 1.3 Term of Agreement: This Agreement remains in effect for the duration of your active enrollment, coaching subscription, course access window, or active access retainer.

2. Program-Specific Terms
2.1 The Supported Home Cook Program (Live Coaching Subscription)
  • Deliverables: Active subscribers receive the following deliverables each month:

    • One (1) live, 2-hour cookery lesson with me (scheduled via my online booking calendar).

    • One (1) 30-minute private check-in call with me.

    • Continuous WhatsApp support throughout the active billing month.

    • Access to complete one (1) on-demand lesson per month via the Thinkific online portal.

  • Pricing & Billing: The recurring subscription fee shall be the rate specified on the program checkout page at the time of enrollment, billed automatically on a recurring monthly cycle.

  • Mandatory 4-Month Minimum Commitment: By enrolling in the Supported Home Cook Program, you explicitly commit to a mandatory minimum period of four (4) consecutive months. You may not cancel or terminate your subscription before the end of the 4th billing cycle, and you remain financially liable for all four monthly payments.

  • Program Extensions: Following your initial 4-month commitment, your subscription rolls over on a month-to-month basis up to a maximum total duration of ten (10) months.

  • Session Rollover Policy:

    • If you do not use your live monthly lesson, it may be rolled over once into the immediately following month only.

    • A maximum of one (1) unused live session may be carried forward at any given time. Any additional unused sessions expire at the end of the month and cannot be refunded, credited, or accumulated.

    • If you carry forward a rolled-over session, you may book two (2) lessons in that following month, both of which must be consumed within that billing cycle or be permanently forfeited.

  • Subscription Cancellation Notice: After your mandatory 4-month commitment is complete, subscriptions renew monthly. To cancel, you must provide written notice via email at least seven (7) days prior to your next scheduled billing date. Cancellations submitted less than 7 days before the billing date will take effect at the end of the following monthly cycle.

2.2 The Supported Home Cook – Video Access Only (Standalone Course)
  • Access Period: Purchase of the Supported Home Cook Video Access Only course grants you digital portal access for a fixed period of 360 days (approximately 12 months) from your purchase date.

  • Deliverables: Includes access to complete ten (10) on-demand lessons via the Thinkific online portal and ten (10) 30-minute private check-in calls with me (to be scheduled during your 360-day access window).

  • Pricing & Non-Refundability: Full payment of the course fee designated at checkout is required upfront. Because immediate access is granted to proprietary video modules, techniques, and downloadable assets upon purchase, all sales are strictly final and non-refundable.

2.3 The Knife Skills Masterclass (Standalone Course)
  • Standard Access Period: Purchase of the Knife Skills Masterclass grants you digital portal access for a fixed period of 180 days (approximately 6 months) from your purchase date.

  • Pricing & Non-Refundability: Full payment of the course fee designated at checkout is required upfront. Because immediate access is granted to proprietary video modules, techniques, and downloadable assets upon purchase, all sales are strictly final and non-refundable.

2.4 Post-Completion Ongoing Access Retainer (Optional Extension)
  • Eligibility & Purpose: Upon completion or expiration of standard course access (such as the 180-day window for the Knife Skills Masterclass, the 360-day window for Video Access, or following the Supported Home Cook Program), you may opt to maintain continuous, on-demand access to your digital portal materials via a Post-Completion Access Retainer.

  • Fee & Billing: The retainer fee shall be the prevailing monthly rate specified at the time of retainer activation, billed automatically on a recurring monthly cycle starting from the date of activation.

  • Scope of Access: The retainer provides ongoing view-only access to previously unlocked video modules, digital recipe assets, and curriculum framework materials hosted on the Thinkific portal. It does not include live 1-to-1 coaching, WhatsApp support, live lessons, or check-in calls.

  • Cancellation of Retainer: The access retainer operates on a month-to-month basis with no minimum term commitment. You may cancel your retainer at any time by providing written notice via email at least seven (7) days before your next billing date. Upon cancellation, digital portal access will terminate at the conclusion of the paid billing period.

2.5 Private Coaching & Custom Packages
  • Terms, deliverables, pricing, and session counts for bespoke private coaching arrangements will be outlined in a separate coaching contract/booking agreement and remain fully subject to the payment, cancellation, and safety conditions set forth in this Agreement.

3. Scheduling & Cancellation Policies
  • Live Cookery Lessons (72-Hour Rule): Cancellations or requests to reschedule any live cookery lesson (whether part of a subscription, private coaching, or custom package) must be submitted at least 72 hours in advance of the scheduled start time. The rescheduled session must be completed within two (2) weeks of the original date. Cancellations inside 72 hours, or failure to attend ("no-shows"), result in full forfeiture of the session without refund or credit.

  • Live Check-In Calls (24-Hour Rule): Cancellations or requests to reschedule a 30-minute check-in call must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations inside 24 hours, or no-shows, result in forfeiture of that call.

  • Client Booking Responsibility: It is your sole responsibility to schedule your lessons and check-in calls using my automated online booking calendar (Calendly). I cannot guarantee calendar availability for last-minute booking requests.

4. Digital Portal Access & Intellectual Property
  • Access Parameters:

    • Live subscription coaching clients retain access to digital course materials on Thinkific strictly during active, paid subscription months.

    • Standalone course purchasers retain access for the explicit term defined at purchase (180 days for Knife Skills Masterclass; 360 days for Supported Home Cook Video Access).

    • Ongoing access beyond standard program terms is granted solely through an active Post-Completion Access Retainer.

  • No Lifetime Access: My offerings do not include "lifetime" or unlimited access to digital content or hosting platforms. I am under no legal or contractual obligation to host, maintain, or provide access to online portals indefinitely.

  • Intellectual Property Protection: All videos, recipe blueprints, curriculum frameworks, worksheets, and portal content remain the exclusive intellectual property of Suzie Battishill Culinary Coaching. Your login is strictly for single-user, personal, non-commercial use. Sharing credentials, reproducing content, or distributing materials to third parties is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of access without refund.

5. Payments, Suspensions, & Refund Policy
  • Payment Authorization: You authorize Suzie Battishill Culinary Coaching to charge your designated payment method for all initial, recurring subscription, standalone course, installment, or monthly access retainer fees as agreed at purchase.

  • Late Payments & Default: If a subscription or retainer payment fails, platform access and live coaching services will be automatically suspended until the account balance is settled in full.

  • No Refunds: Due to immediate access to proprietary digital materials, curriculum frameworks, and limited calendar capacity, all fees paid are non-refundable once portal access is granted or live coaching has commenced.

6. Kitchen Conduct, Safety, & Liability Waiver
  • Assumption of Risk: Active cooking involves fundamental material risks, including sharp knives, high heat sources, hot oils, open flames, and heavy cookware. You voluntarily assume 100% personal responsibility for your physical safety, kitchen environment, and equipment maintenance while practicing techniques demonstrated in any course or lesson.

  • Kitchen Sobriety & Attire: For practical cooking sessions, you agree to wear practical clothing (flat, closed-toe shoes, minimal jewelry, hair tied back). You must not participate in coaching sessions under the influence of alcohol or illicit substances, or while acutely unwell. I reserve the right to immediately terminate a session without refund if impairment or unsafe conditions are observed.

  • Food Hygiene & Handling: You assume full responsibility for proper sanitation, ingredient washing, cross-contamination prevention, food storage, and reheating practices. All food preparation must adhere to standards set by local governing bodies, such as the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) or the UK Food Standards Agency (FSA).

  • Indemnification: You agree to hold Suzie Battishill and Suzie Battishill Culinary Coaching entirely harmless against any claims, losses, cuts, burns, physical injuries, foodborne illnesses, or property damage arising from your participation in coaching or execution of recipes and techniques.

  • Educational Scope: My services are strictly educational in nature, designed to build kitchen confidence, organizational systems, and sustainable cooking instincts. Nothing in my programs constitutes medical nutrition therapy, medical advice, clinical healthcare, or eating disorder treatment.

  • Culinary Philosophy: My coaching methodology centers on the framework 50% Skill + 50% Systems = 100% Instinct, advocating for a wholesome, plant-rich diet. I explicitly reject restrictive diet rules, rigid portion counting, and pseudoscientific clinical fads (such as "gut cleansing").

  • Allergy Accountability: You maintain the sole, ultimate duty to inspect all ingredients and verify their safety against your personal health profiles, dietary restrictions, and medical allergies (and those of anyone consuming food prepared by you) prior to preparation or consumption.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
  • Jurisdiction: This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

  • Venue: Any legal proceedings, disputes, or claims arising out of or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
